Terms of service
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Use set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of FeatherOne Co., Ltd. (the “Company”), an e-commerce business operator, and users in connection with the use of internet-related services (the “Services”) provided through the FeatherOne online mall operated by FeatherOne Co., Ltd. (the “Mall”).
These Terms shall also apply, to the extent that they are not inconsistent with the nature thereof, to electronic commerce conducted through PC communications, wireless communications, and other similar means.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Mall” means the virtual business establishment created by FeatherOne Co., Ltd. using information and communications facilities, including computers, to enable users to purchase goods or services (collectively, “Goods, etc.”). The term may also refer to the business operator that operates the online mall.
- “User” means any member or non-member who accesses the Mall and uses the Services provided by the Mall in accordance with these Terms.
- “Member” means a person who has registered as a member of the Mall and is entitled to continuously use the Services provided by the Mall.
- “Non-member” means a person who uses the Services provided by the Mall without registering as a member.
Article 3 (Display, Explanation, and Amendment of Terms)
- The Mall shall post these Terms, its business name, the name of its representative, the address of its business location (including the address where consumer complaints may be handled), telephone number, fax number, email address, business registration number, mail-order business registration number, personal information protection officer, and other required information on the initial service screen of the FeatherOne online mall so that users may easily identify such information. The contents of these Terms may be made available through a linked screen.
- Before obtaining a user’s consent to these Terms, the Mall shall provide a separate linked screen, pop-up screen, or other means enabling the user to understand and confirm important provisions, including cancellation rights, delivery responsibilities, and refund conditions.
- The Mall may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendments do not violate applicable laws, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc., the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions, the Electronic Financial Transactions Act, the Electronic Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc., the Door-to-Door Sales Act, the Framework Act on Consumers, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- When the Mall amends these Terms, it shall announce the effective date and reason for the amendment together with the current Terms on the initial screen of the Mall from at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date until the day immediately preceding the effective date. However, if the amendment is unfavorable to users, the Mall shall provide at least thirty (30) days’ prior notice. In such case, the Mall shall clearly compare the provisions before and after the amendment so that users can easily understand the changes.
- Amended Terms shall apply only to contracts entered into on or after the effective date of the amendment, and the previous Terms shall continue to apply to contracts entered into prior to such effective date. However, if a user who has already entered into a contract notifies the Mall during the notice period that the user wishes to be subject to the amended Terms, and the Mall agrees, the amended Terms shall apply.
- Any matters not stipulated in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc., the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the consumer protection guidelines for electronic commerce established by the Korea Fair Trade Commission, other applicable laws and regulations, and customary commercial practices.
Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Services)
- The Mall shall perform the following services:
- Providing information regarding Goods, etc. and entering into purchase agreements;
- Delivering Goods, etc. for which purchase agreements have been concluded; and
- Other services determined by the Mall.
- The Mall may modify the Goods, etc. to be provided under future contracts in the event that such Goods, etc. become unavailable or their technical specifications are changed. In such case, the Mall shall immediately post the details of the modified Goods, etc. and the date on which they will become available in the same location where the existing Goods, etc. were posted.
- If the Mall modifies the Services to be provided under a contract with a user due to unavailability of Goods, etc., changes in technical specifications, or similar reasons, the Mall shall immediately notify the user of the reason through an address or contact method available for such notice.
- In the circumstances described in the preceding paragraph, the Mall shall compensate the user for any resulting damages. However, this shall not apply if the Mall proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
Article 5 (Suspension of Services)
- The Mall may temporarily suspend the provision of Services due to maintenance, inspection, replacement, or malfunction of computers or other information and communications facilities, interruption of communications, or other similar circumstances.
- The Mall shall compensate users or third parties for damages resulting from the temporary suspension of Services under Paragraph 1. However, this shall not apply if the Mall proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
- If the Mall becomes unable to provide Services due to a change in business type, discontinuation of business, merger between businesses, or similar reasons, the Mall shall notify users in the manner prescribed in Article 8 and compensate users in accordance with the terms originally presented by the Mall. If the Mall has not previously announced compensation standards, users’ mileage, reward points, or similar credits shall be compensated in goods or cash equivalent to their monetary value as used within the Mall.
Article 6 (Membership Registration)
- A user may apply for membership by entering the required member information in the registration form prescribed by the Mall and indicating consent to these Terms.
- The Mall shall register an applicant as a Member unless any of the following circumstances apply:
- The applicant previously lost membership status pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 3; provided, however, that this shall not apply if three (3) years have passed since such loss of membership status and the Mall has approved the applicant’s re-registration;
- The registration information contains false information, omissions, or errors; or
- The Mall determines that registering the applicant would cause significant technical difficulties in operating the Mall.
- The membership agreement shall become effective when the Mall’s acceptance is received by the Member.
- If any information provided during registration changes, the Member shall notify the Mall within a reasonable period by updating the Member’s information or through another appropriate method.
Article 7 (Withdrawal from Membership and Loss of Membership Status)
- A Member may request withdrawal from membership at any time, and the Mall shall promptly process such request.
- The Mall may restrict or suspend a Member’s membership if the Member:
- Provides false information during registration;
- Fails to pay amounts due for Goods, etc. purchased through the Mall or other obligations arising from use of the Mall by the due date;
- Interferes with another person’s use of the Mall or misappropriates another person’s information, thereby threatening the order of electronic commerce; or
- Uses the Mall to engage in conduct prohibited by applicable laws or these Terms, or conduct contrary to public order and morals.
- If the same conduct is repeated two or more times after the Mall restricts or suspends membership, or if the cause of such restriction or suspension is not corrected within thirty (30) days, the Mall may terminate the Member’s membership status.
- If the Mall terminates a Member’s membership status, it shall cancel the Member’s registration. In such case, the Mall shall notify the Member and provide the Member with at least thirty (30) days prior to cancellation to submit an explanation.
Article 8 (Notice to Members)
- The Mall may provide notice to a Member through the email address designated by the Member pursuant to a prior agreement with the Mall.
- For notices intended for an unspecified number of Members, the Mall may substitute individual notice by posting the notice on the Mall’s bulletin board for at least one (1) week. However, matters that materially affect an individual Member’s transactions shall be notified individually.
Article 9 (Purchase Applications)
- Users may apply to purchase Goods, etc. through the Mall using the following or similar procedures. In connection with a purchase application, the Mall shall clearly provide users with information concerning:
- Searching for and selecting Goods, etc.;
- Entering the recipient’s name, address, telephone number, email address or mobile phone number, and other required information;
- Confirming these Terms, restrictions on cancellation rights, delivery charges, installation charges, and other applicable costs;
- Indicating consent to these Terms and confirmation or rejection of the matters described in Item 3, such as by clicking a designated button;
- Submitting and confirming the purchase application and agreeing to the Mall’s confirmation; and
- Selecting a payment method.
- If the Mall needs to provide or outsource a purchaser’s personal information to a third party, it shall obtain the purchaser’s consent at the time of the actual purchase application and shall not obtain comprehensive advance consent during membership registration. The Mall shall specify the personal information to be provided, the recipient, the purpose of use by the recipient, and the retention and use period. Where otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations, such laws and regulations shall apply.
Article 10 (Formation of Contract)
- The Mall may reject a purchase application under Article 9 if any of the following circumstances apply. Where the Mall enters into a contract with a minor, it shall inform the minor that the minor or the minor’s legal representative may cancel the contract if the consent of the legal representative has not been obtained.
- The application contains false information, omissions, or errors;
- A minor attempts to purchase tobacco, alcoholic beverages, or other Goods or services prohibited for minors under the Youth Protection Act; or
- The Mall determines that accepting the purchase application would cause significant technical difficulties.
- A contract shall be deemed formed when the Mall’s acceptance reaches the user in the form of a receipt confirmation notice under Article 12, Paragraph 1.
- The Mall’s acceptance shall include confirmation of the user’s purchase application, availability for sale, and information concerning modification or cancellation of the purchase application.
Article 11 (Payment Methods)
Payment for Goods or services purchased through the Mall may be made by any available method listed below. The Mall shall not impose any additional fee, under any name, on the price of Goods, etc. based solely on the payment method selected by the user.
- Account transfers, including phone banking, internet banking, and mail banking;
- Payment by prepaid card, debit card, credit card, or other card;
- Online bank transfer without a bankbook;
- Electronic money;
- Payment upon receipt;
- Payment using mileage, reward points, or other credits issued by the Mall;
- Gift certificates contracted with or recognized by the Mall; and
- Other electronic payment methods.
Article 12 (Receipt Confirmation; Modification and Cancellation of Purchase Applications)
- Upon receiving a purchase application from a user, the Mall shall send the user a receipt confirmation notice.
- A user who receives a receipt confirmation notice may immediately request modification or cancellation of the purchase application if there is any discrepancy or other issue with the user’s expressed intent. If such request is made before shipment, the Mall shall process the request without delay.
If payment has already been made, the provisions of Article 15 concerning cancellation of purchases shall apply.
Article 13 (Supply of Goods, Etc.)
- Unless otherwise agreed with the user regarding the timing of supply, the Mall shall take necessary measures, including custom production and packaging, to enable delivery of the Goods, etc. within seven (7) days from the date of the user’s order.
If the Mall has already received all or part of the payment for the Goods, etc., it shall take such measures within three (3) business days from the date on which all or part of the payment was received.
The Mall shall also take appropriate measures to allow the user to check the supply procedure and status of the Goods, etc.
- The Mall shall specify the delivery method, the party responsible for delivery costs for each method, and the applicable delivery period for the Goods purchased by the user.
If the Mall exceeds the agreed delivery period, it shall compensate the user for damages caused thereby. However, this shall not apply if the Mall proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
Article 14 (Refunds)
If Goods, etc. ordered by a user cannot be delivered or provided due to being out of stock or for another reason, the Mall shall promptly notify the user of the reason.
If the Mall has received payment for the Goods, etc. in advance, it shall refund the payment or take the necessary measures to process the refund within three (3) business days from the date of receipt of payment.
Article 15 (Cancellation of Purchase, Etc.)
- A user who has entered into a contract with the Mall for the purchase of Goods, etc. may cancel the purchase within seven (7) days from the date on which the user receives a written document describing the terms of the contract pursuant to Article 13, Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.
If the Goods, etc. are supplied later than the date on which such document is received, the seven-day period shall begin on the date on which the Goods, etc. are received or their supply begins.
Where the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. provides otherwise regarding cancellation rights, such provisions shall apply.
- After receiving Goods, etc., a user may not return or exchange them in any of the following circumstances:
- The Goods, etc. have been lost or damaged due to a cause attributable to the user; provided, however, that cancellation shall remain available if the packaging was damaged solely for the purpose of inspecting the Goods, etc.;
- The value of the Goods, etc. has significantly decreased due to the user’s use or partial consumption;
- The value of the Goods, etc. has significantly decreased over time to the extent that resale has become difficult; or
- The packaging of the original Goods, etc. has been damaged where the Goods, etc. can be reproduced with identical performance.
- In the circumstances described in Paragraph 2, Items 2 through 4, the user’s right to cancel shall not be restricted unless the Mall has clearly notified the consumer in advance, in an easily accessible location, that cancellation is restricted, or has otherwise taken appropriate measures such as providing trial products.
- Notwithstanding Paragraphs 1 and 2, if the Goods, etc. differ from their displayed or advertised description or are provided differently from the terms of the contract, the user may cancel the purchase within three (3) months from the date the Goods, etc. were supplied, or within thirty (30) days from the date the user became aware or could reasonably have become aware of such discrepancy.
Article 16 (Effect of Cancellation, Etc.)
- When the Mall receives returned Goods, etc. from a user, it shall refund the amount already paid for such Goods, etc. within three (3) business days.
If the Mall delays the refund, it shall pay delay interest calculated by applying the delay interest rate prescribed in Article 21-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. for the period of delay.
- If the user paid for the Goods, etc. by credit card, electronic money, or another payment method, the Mall shall promptly request the relevant payment service provider to suspend or cancel the charge.
- In the event of cancellation, the user shall bear the cost of returning the Goods, etc. received.
The Mall shall not impose any penalty or claim damages against the user solely on the grounds of cancellation.
However, if cancellation is made because the Goods, etc. differ from their displayed or advertised description or were provided differently from the terms of the contract, the Mall shall bear the cost of returning the Goods, etc.
- If the user paid the shipping cost when receiving the Goods, etc., the Mall shall clearly indicate who will bear such cost in the event of cancellation.
Article 17 (Protection of Personal Information)
- The Mall shall collect only the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide the Services.
- The Mall shall not collect information necessary for performance of a purchase agreement in advance during membership registration.
However, this shall not apply where identity verification is required prior to a purchase agreement in order to comply with obligations under applicable laws and regulations, in which case the Mall may collect the minimum personal information necessary for such verification.
- When the Mall collects or uses a user’s personal information, it shall notify the user of the purpose and obtain the user’s consent.
- The Mall shall not use collected personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected. If a new purpose of use arises or the information is to be provided to a third party, the Mall shall notify the user of such purpose and obtain the user’s consent at the time of such use or provision, unless otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations.
- Where the Mall is required to obtain a user’s consent under Paragraphs 2 and 3, it shall specify or notify the user in advance of information including the identity of the person responsible for personal information protection, including affiliation, name, telephone number, and other contact information; the purpose of collection and use; and matters concerning provision of information to third parties, including the recipient, purpose of provision, and information to be provided, as required by applicable laws.
The user may withdraw such consent at any time.
- A user may at any time request access to or correction of the user’s personal information held by the Mall, and the Mall shall promptly take necessary measures in response.
If the user requests correction of an error, the Mall shall not use the relevant personal information until the error has been corrected.
- The Mall shall limit the number of persons authorized to process users’ personal information to the minimum necessary and shall be responsible for damages suffered by users due to loss, theft, leakage, unauthorized provision to third parties, alteration, or other improper handling of personal information, including credit card and bank account information.
- The Mall or any third party that has received personal information from the Mall shall promptly destroy such information once the purpose for which it was collected or provided has been achieved.
- The Mall shall not pre-select consent boxes relating to the collection, use, or provision of personal information.
The Mall shall specifically identify any Services that may be restricted if the user refuses consent to the collection, use, or provision of personal information.
The Mall shall not restrict or refuse membership registration or other Services solely because a user refuses to consent to the collection, use, or provision of personal information that is not required.
Article 18 (Obligations of the Mall)
- The Mall shall not engage in conduct prohibited by applicable laws or these Terms or conduct contrary to public order and morals, and shall use its best efforts to provide Goods and services continuously and reliably in accordance with these Terms.
- The Mall shall maintain security systems necessary to protect users’ personal information, including credit information, so that users may safely use its internet Services.
- If the Mall causes damage to a user by engaging in unfair labeling or advertising practices with respect to Goods or services in violation of Article 3 of the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising, the Mall shall be liable for such damages.
- The Mall shall not send users unsolicited commercial advertising emails.
Article 19 (Member Responsibilities for ID and Password)
- Except as otherwise provided in Article 17, Members shall be responsible for managing their IDs and passwords.
- Members shall not allow third parties to use their IDs or passwords.
- If a Member becomes aware that the Member’s ID or password has been stolen or is being used by a third party, the Member shall immediately notify the Mall and follow the Mall’s instructions, if any.
Article 20 (User Obligations)
Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:
- Providing false information when applying for or modifying information;
- Misappropriating another person’s information;
- Altering information posted on the Mall;
- Transmitting or posting information, including computer programs, other than information permitted by the Mall;
- Infringing copyrights or other intellectual property rights of the Mall or any third party;
- Damaging the reputation of, or interfering with the business of, the Mall or any third party; or
- Publishing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, audio, or other information contrary to public order and morals on the Mall.
Article 21 (Relationship Between Linked Mall and Linked-to Mall)
- Where an upper-level Mall and a lower-level Mall are connected through hyperlinks or similar means, including hyperlinks represented by text, images, or video, the former shall be referred to as the “Linking Mall” and the latter as the “Linked Mall.”
- If the Linking Mall clearly states on its initial screen or in a pop-up screen at the time of linking that it does not provide any warranty regarding transactions between users and the Linked Mall involving Goods, etc. independently provided by the Linked Mall, the Linking Mall shall bear no warranty liability for such transactions.
Article 22 (Ownership of Copyright and Restrictions on Use)
- Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in works created by the Mall shall belong to the Mall.
- Users shall not, without the Mall’s prior consent, reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, commercially use by other means, or permit a third party to commercially use any information obtained through the Mall for which intellectual property rights belong to the Mall.
- If the Mall uses copyrights belonging to a user pursuant to an agreement, the Mall shall notify the user accordingly.
Article 23 (Dispute Resolution)
- The Mall shall establish and operate a consumer complaint and compensation mechanism in order to reflect legitimate opinions and complaints raised by users and to provide compensation for damages where appropriate.
- The Mall shall give priority to processing complaints and opinions submitted by users. If prompt processing is difficult, the Mall shall immediately notify the user of the reason and the expected processing schedule.
- If a user submits an application for relief in connection with an electronic commerce dispute between the Mall and the user, the dispute may be referred to a dispute mediation organization commissioned by the Korea Fair Trade Commission or the relevant city or provincial governor.
Article 24 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
- Any lawsuit concerning an electronic commerce dispute between the Mall and a user shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the user’s address at the time the lawsuit is filed.
If the user has no address, jurisdiction shall lie with the district court having jurisdiction over the user’s place of residence.
If the user’s address or place of residence is unclear at the time the lawsuit is filed, or if the user resides outside Korea, the lawsuit shall be filed with the court having jurisdiction pursuant to the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
- Any electronic commerce lawsuit filed between the Mall and a user shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Supplementary Provision (Effective Date)
These Terms of Use shall take effect on January 1, 2026.
